I paid a lot to get a balayage and quite a drastic cut - having been growing my hair for about 5 years, I decided to go for a long bob. I really did mean a long bob when I said it to the hairdresser but she first of all didn’t cut a bob and sent me on my way until I told her it’s not what I wanted. When she finally understood what I wanted she cut some more but it was super wonky so she had to cut some more until waaay more length came off than I wanted...I waned to go from just above breast length to shoulder length to sternum length...which the front technically is now but the back is waaay shorter and the transition between the two length is not smooth in the slightest. The balayage was also a disaster...it’s less of a subtle balayage and more my whole head, apart from the roots is a yellowish colour...I’m honestly horrified.
I’ve always been very experimental with my hair, I’ve had bobs and pixie cuts, long hair, purple hair, black hair, blonde etc etc but this is the first time where I sat in a salon chair and actually cried a little while my head was being butchered...It’s been 3 days and I’m still upset about it. If I hadn’t paid on advance, I would’ve refused to pay in full, I am looking for a refund as it currently is, seeing as I’m going to have to go back to my usual hairdresser to fix it (I didn’t go to them in the first place because they didn’t do a balayage which is specifically what I wanted.)
