I went in for a quick blow dry, firstly I got a disapproving look when I turned up because apparently my hair wasn’t to their standard of “short”... I was seated to wash my hair and told abruptly to close my eyes and every time I opened them, to close them again. She gave it a thorough wash, however seemed very harsh and not relaxing. No conditioner was used. I wanted lose curls. She began to blow dry without combing, little to no heat protector and no product. When there were tangles in my hair, she proceeded to comb out with the round brush, which to say the least was painful and pulled on my hair. The blowdry wasn’t straight and took 40 mins, apparently due to my “thick” hair. Not what I expected for a quick blow dry. I’ve been to a number of blow bars in London that guarantee hair to be done in 30 mins or less, this one didn’t meet those expectations. So then she gets the straightener out, and I think why am I paying for a blow dry but you’re using a straightener. She then curls my hair. And not how I wanted it. I asked her to straighten the ends for a beach wave look. She couldn’t do it, and once again looked at me disapprovingly as if I was asking for way too much. She said it wasn’t possible, I curl my hair myself like that frequently just fine. I told her to leave it because I needed to get back to work. She asked if I wanted hairspray and I said no thanks, once again a disapproving look. I have left with my hair drier at the ends which is very noticeable. She wouldn’t let me move my head while blow drying, I was with a friend and couldn’t even talk. It wasn’t fun. It was more like a military operation. If you want quick, relaxing and friendly service, not the place for you! I paid for a look I didn’t receive and was very disappointed!
