I’m really pleased with the cut, Denise listened to what I wanted and also added her recommendations. I was surprised with how well my hair was styled with a bouncy blow dry and curls.

Joseph has been adorable during the whole process. He made sure sure he explained every step thoroughly and that I was comfortable.
Regarding the treatment, you can really tell he knew what he was doing! My only regret is that I should have had it sooner, my hair looks the best it has been in ages!

I can't quite decide where it all went wrong - I had prebooked via Treatwell, was very clear about what I wanted, had pictures of various angles of the haircut I was hoping to get, knew what worked for me, how I liked my hair styled and what colour treatment I wanted. The hair stylist seemed attentive and appeared to listen, took quite some time to discuss with me what I had in mind (despite me arriving 15mins late so I really appreciated that), and then vehemently argued against my decision re colour and on the basis of a suspected expertise, I gave in. Only then was I told that the treatment that was recommended was more expensive than what I wanted. But as I felt that all pros and cons had been laid on the table and seeing that I was willing to give the hair specialist the benefit of a doubt, I accepted the extra charge.
As it turned out, I should have stuck to my initial requests as neither colour nor the cut nor the styling ended up as expected or wanted. Quite the contrary. It was rather baffling to both the stylist and myself as we had talked about my likes and dislikes at length yet even the styling ended up being exactly how I did NOT want it. I'm still not sure how we managed to misunderstand each other so much?!
The hair stylist was fair enough to forfeit the extra payment for the colour treatment I hadn't asked for, but still, the cut wasn't quite what I expected either. Seeing that I only go to get my hair done 2-3 times a year, this was a bit disappointing on all fronts.
