I have been to gusto loads of times and loved it. But this staff member, was so rude about my curly hair, constantly telling me that it’s more elegant to wear it straight. Being mixed race, I like my curly hair and she kept telling me how hard it is to cut etc. She had a real stick up about curly hair, as if the salon is only for straight haired clients. She said she’d have to cut it straight and I asked if I could keep it curly and she saying “you don’t understand I need to straighten it to cut it” after saying this to me 4 times patronisingly and talking really slow as if I didn’t understand English I finally let her straighten my hair so I could get out of there as quickly as possible. Unfortunately I will not be going back there. I wanted to leave before she’d even washed my hair, felt out of place and unwelcome for having curly hair
