Very awkward and uncomfortable experience. I was told to slide down very low in the chair so I felt like I was sitting in a strange “mid sit-up” position, not comfortable at all for the whole cut. My hair was cut A LOT shorter than I originally asked (I presume this is because I was basically laying in the chair so my shoulders were very hunched making them much higher than if I were sitting normally) and I was not asked how I wanted it dried. She did a strange, outdated blow wave that didn’t compliment the haircut at all. I had to tie my hair up as soon as I left because I was actually embarrassed by the blow wave style. At the end we accidentally bumped hands as we both reached for the mirror and she got quite angry and told me off saying I need to be more careful, she then walked off into another room and closed the door, leaving me awkwardly standing there wondering if we were done or not. I still haven’t seen the back of my hair as she walked off without showing me and she didn’t come back out from the other room.
The lady on reception was extremely rude. She just put her hand out for my card without saying a word and when I asked her to confirm the price before I handed it over she responded saying “It’s the price you booked for!” with a big sigh and an eye roll.
Overall, a very uncomfortable experience. Rude staff, poor customer service and questionable cutting/styling techniques. I definitely do not recommend.
I generally go to Gusto's Soho branch and had never been to this venue. The Covent Garden branch is lovely, spacious and clean. My haircut wasn't exactly what I wanted but Loddy was lovely.
