I was seen by Maria, who seemed to completely ignore everything I said. The ends of my hair are quite light, while my roots are quite dark and I explained that I wanted to lighten the top half to blend the colours slightly. I ended up with tacky stripes on my head, similar to those highlight box kits you used to be able to get in the early '00s. She abandoned me twice throughout the dying as well. Once for a personal break when they were initially put in, which I found fair enough, and secondly to see another customer after half the foils were removed and for quite a long time, perhaps leading to my startlingly contrasting and overbleached highlights. The ends of my hair were quite damaged and I specifically said 'I'm aware I'll have to lose length, but I just want healthier hair' she barely trimmed the longest layer in the back and then tried to go on the blow dry. I almost had to fight with her, showing her that I couldn't even brush through my front layers. She kept saying 'well you have dry hair and here are the reasons why you have damage' to which I consistently had to reply 'Yes, I know. That's why I'm asking you to cut it off'. The visit was soo frustrating. The receptionists were really lovely, chatty and hospitable, and the other hairdressers seemed to have happy clients. Perhaps just be careful who you book with.
Joseph was brilliant, he did a great job on my hair and didn't complain when it took longer with my hair being quite thick. The treatment did make my eyes water quite a bit, but once it had been straightened this stopped. It isn't wash out on the same day as stated, but that didn't matter as hair looks perfectly acceptable to go out after (and the chemical smell does go). Would definitely recommend- drying time has been significantly reduced and I no longer need to straighten it.
second time I've been to the Salon and satisfied again! the staff always take good care of me and Mario always gives me a fabulous hair cut! :) great value for money! highly recommend!
