The staff memeber at desk was lovely when we arrived. We were running late so only one of us could have hair done. Which we understood. The one of us who did have hwr hair done wanted an ombre but she wasnt sure what colour etc and we were expecting for the price that the stylist would give a consulation (as many salons in london do) and would suggest options. My friend whom I brought with me as a suprise was the onw who had her haor done as a goft from myself. She is always saying she wants to be bold and make changes to her hair but is too scared to of the attention. I told her a stylist in London would be able to help her by making suggests so that she had options. When this was suggested by myself the stylist said, 'I dont think you should force anyone to do something they do not want to do'. While my friend was sitting having foils done she expressed that shed like a bolder change but didnt know how to say that she wanted this. So again I spoke for her and got the same response. This made the experience sad for botj of us and made me feel very uncomfortable. The rest of the experience was ok.. it wasnt what we expected in regards to experience.. it is simply a normal and small salon. Sadly, the ombre turned out to look like a full head of highlights. I did say to my friend while there that there is alot of highlights in the top and to say if she wasnt happy. But she is not someone who finds saying these things easy. I didnt say anything because of the response I got previously. So i paid the bill and left. I was alittle miffed that suddenly I was told the toner used was £15 extra this was not told to my friend when she was offered toner on her hair. I paid the bill and we left. As soon as we were out the shop my friend said she was upset as shed asked for an ombre and was given a full head of highlights. It all felt a bit of a let down especially when we came to London expecting a good experience for the prices paid. The haor was 123 pounds altogether but she didnt get what she asked for nor wjat we expected. Sadly we were extremely disappointed.
Kristine was GREAT. She understood exactly what I was looking for and completely fixed my hair. Both the colour and cut are perfect, will definitely be coming back.
Very accomodating and professional staff. Great value for money
Couldn’t be more pleased with my visit to Gusto and the results of my hair! I have had highlights before but not for a long time, I felt as though I was really understood in exactly what I wanted and it has turned out better than I even imagined. I have a slight ginger tone to my hair so was advised I may have to have a toner treatment after the bleaching, I didn’t actually have to but thought it was great I was told upfront. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff and a glass of prosecco - what more could you want! Have already booked in for my return appointment.
Absolutely a huge fan of this salon with it's incredible stylists. Love the overall feel and ambience of the place, they are always so attentive and the stylist I've had the past few occasions (sorry forgot your name again!) is simply the most talented hairdresser I've ever come across, and I have traversed the world. Will definitely be my go to place from now for my cuts and colours. Five Stars *****
