recommended to anyone keen to try waxing for the first time. The best waxing services by far.
I had a Gel Manicure and Pedicure yesteday at Guise and Dolls. The young girl Patsy who did my nails was lovely. She was very poilte and chatty, she offered me refreshments as soojn as i arrived. I only paid £20 for the lot and that was excellent value. I am really impressed and would recommend this venue to anyone.
This is my second visit to this salon, as I was here last month and was really happy with the service. Again, I'm really happy with the standard of my gel manicure & pedicure, the staff and the value. I can't comment fully on the facilities because I didn't use the changing/treatment rooms, but I'm sure they'll have been fine.
One tip I'd like to share with you if you've never had a gel manicure/pedicure before; they don't smudge within minutes of you having them done!! So you don't have to get your keys, money etc. all ready in case you might smudge your nails whilst searching for them. You also don't need to wear strappy sandals either if you're having a pedicure. So please don't do what I did and wear strappy sandals on a day it decided to lash it down (why is it that every other paving stone was loose and full of water)!
I have been visiting this salon for over a year now after purchasing a Groupon voucher. I would not visit any other salon in the area; the atmosphere, the quality of the treatment and Sarah (the owner) are simply brilliant. Sarah could not be more accomodating as she schedules my appointments around my working hours, often meaning a 7pm appt. There is a very relaxed atmosphere in the salon and the treatments are completed to a high standard. I visit the salon for all my treatments - would recommend to anyone.
I first visited this salon a in Aug 2012, as I wanted a manicure and pedicure that would last for my weeks' holiday. I was really happy with the result, which lasted throughout my holiday, and was about ready to be done again not long after I returned.
From the beginning I found the staff friendly and helpful and the appointment service was very efficient. I was offered a drink when I arrived, and there were plenty of magazines to read. I think there was a lovely atmosphere to the salon; the staff were chatty as were the customers that were waiting. The manicure and pedicure took about the length of time I was expecting it to. Although there was a lot of putting your hands and feet in and out of the little dryer thing, the staff expained that it was necessary to make sure it set properly, so I didn't mind.
This was my first set of gel nails, and the other thing I was really impressed with was how they don't smudge within minutes of you leaving the salon, unlike conventional manicures and pedicures.
Overall, a great value for money treat to myself, which I would happily recommend and I would visit the salon again.
