The hotel wasn't bad, quite pricey, however the room temperature kept going up to 30 degrees even when the room thermo was turned down. Rang reception and they said they did it but didn't work, put in a complaint to the hotel several times on the website with no reply. Had horrible sleep in these conditions which dampened the experience. Massages were great. Disappointed in the hotels service
Great atmosphere and treatments and range of food and drink. Very wonderful staff especially the young lady who served us cocktails and later at afternoon tea 😌
A really lovely stay to celebrate a very special birthday.
The positives: beautiful grounds friendly young receptionist amazing outdoor jacuzzi the best earl grey tea beautiful china The negatives: a rude manager towels too small understaffed afternoon tea average (run out of scones, not given jam) service poor hairdryer in room broken sauna not working food poor quality no fresh fruit at breakfast only one pillow per guest robes inadequate and not spa quality poorly organised With a few tweaks this place could be worthy of its 4 star award.
The facilities are good. A fairly large indoor pool. The same shallow depth but able to have a swim. The steam room was working but small, but the sauna wasn’t available. There was an indoor jacuzzi with comfortable room for 4 people. But the best thing was the outdoor large ‘hot spring’ pool. Large enough for 10 people. But it looked like there we’re bubbles available but these weren’t working. The bread for the afternoon tea was a bit stale, but the scones were warm and lovely.
