This was my second trip to the pampering palace, knowing of the extent of the refurbishment works but not being put off due to the lovely massage i received the first time around- which I was extremely happy with. This time around, i booked for 15:30 and received a call asking me to come later- which was totally fine as i was in no rush. I got there and was taken into the treatment room at 15:50- it was obviously a very busy afternoon and all hands were on deck! On being taken into the treatment room, i noticed that the towel was dirty and there was waxing stuff out from the last appointment- i didn't raise this at the time as i am quite laid back and really liked the masseuse! I was prepared to overlook it. After getting changed i guess the massage started at 15:55. It was a lovely massage but the door was opened and room accessed by other staff at least twice which was a little off-putting. The massage finished and i thought at the time 'gosh that went quickly' but put it down to enjoying the massage! I then spent time getting changed, went to pay and left. It wasn't until i looked at the receipt that i realised i'd paid at 16:29. That means i think i probably received 30 mins of massage when i paid for an hour. I sent an email about this to pampering palace on Tuesday evening, just saying that perhaps they could give me a bit of free time next time i visit and i had no response. I then chased up on Thursday evening and again, no response. I hate to leave a bad review as the masseuse is great but i just feel a bit disappointed. I thought i had found somewhere i could go for a massage throughout my pregnancy and i now feel thoroughly deflated.
