I was in terrible pain with my back it had pretty much seized up ! I had 45 mins of acupuncture on the Monday and 30 mins of acupuncture plus a massage on the Wednesday and quite honestly I'm feeling a whole lot better thanks to these treatments. I'm a bit cynical usually but it has been very helpful and I will continue to have these treatments. On a negative side the place could do with redecorating and insulating as you can hear everything and everyone which isn't conducive to relaxation.
My 2nd time having a massage with Evelina who was very skilled; I mentioned that my neck and back is rather stiff and she focused on that. Would definitely recommend.
Let me start by saying that the massage was OK and I have no doubt that the masseuse knew what she was doing, focusing on the areas I requested. However, everything else was wrong. To start with my booking, being booked online via Treatwell was misplaced, so I waited for 30min for my treatment. Normally I'd leave, but as I was in pain for days, I really wanted to have the massage. Secondly, as I got up to follow the newly available masseuse, the receptionist stopped me and told the gentlemen who arrived after me to have the massage first, for some unknown reason. The receptionist also apologised to me saying that my masseuse is having her first meal in the whole day, which is why everything was more delayed. And finally, once the masseuse was almost finished with her meal, she invited me in the room (still chewing, the room smelling of her aromatic lunch) asking me about what I wanted with the massage. I was quite disguised with the smells you don't normally want to smell when getting a spa treatment and the fact that the lady was talking to me with her mouth full in a thick accent I couldn't understand, and not to forget, she didn't wash her hands before starting the massage. As I said, I was suffering in back pain, which is why I put up with all of this, but definitely not coming back and not recommending the place to anybody. It is not even that cheap to be expecting the bad service.
I wasn't able to get the Thai Massage that I wanted as the therapist wasn't in. I had a Deep Tissue instead and the lady was really attentive. She worked a lot of my back and shoulders :)
No music / ambience and a very cold room. The therapist was pleasant but did not ask about any specific problem areas, or discuss preferences. The massage was acceptable, though I have also had some very good treatments from other therapists at the centre, so have possibly been spoiled!
