I organised a spa day for my friend and I as we are both busy mums with young children. I have never been so embarrassed to have taken her to this place. On arrival I was again asked if we wanted to share a room as they only had 1 hot stone massage unit, which was stones in a slow cooker. After having to convince the beautician that we would like a privacy she asked us to make our way to the spa area leaving out personal details filled out in a form on the table for anyone to see The spa is falling apart and is out of date!! Whilst in the steam room the back of legs recieved a shot of really hot steam which obviously I was not expecting. I’ll continue to list the calamities here. The salon shampoo bottle was empty The jacuzzi was very cold, when I told the staff member she said no it’s warm and showed me the temp gauge in a dusty cupboard Included in the package was lunch and a drink, when I asked for an orange juice or something sweet to bring my sugar levels up after being in the spa, the beautician refused and said no drink water An argument broke out between the manager, a beautician and the managers daughter which meant my friend had to seek refuge with me while I was having my facial. While having the facial I had to console the beautician who’s friend had had the argument with the managers daughter, the beautician who had the argument with the managers daughter had walked out of the spa by this point The hot stones were far too hot and used from a slow cooker, by this time I just wanted to leave but had already paid through treatwell. Our lunch was given to us by 4pm, we had arrived at 1245pm. Another customers became annoyed because the managers daughter had left her while giving her a facial The massage was good after the burning sensation cooled from the hot stones. And to top it off my pedicure wasn’t dry and smudged and the manager witnessing all this did not say a word, but asked for my treatwell voucher when I was leaving. The whole experience was really upsetting and the the next day I felt really down. I realised I had forgotten my scarf there and called twice to ask them to check for it. I still haven’t heard back from them The whole package cost £210 for a facial, massage, pedicure and lunch. I’m gutted.
Wonderful day at the spa, highly recommended. Lovely staff, very attentive and personal service. Nails lasted a long time and face so clean! The only thing, which didn’t bother me, was jacuzzi not working, but steam was ok. Definitely go here!
Originally booked for 3pm two days in advance but got a call at 12pm on the day saying my appointment time wasn’t actually available, could I come earlier? so I cancelled my lunch plans and did. When I walked in I was greeted and straight away taken to do my nails which was great! The Albanian lady who did my nails was lovely and talkative. The reason I gave ambience a 4 was because there were other clients a few tables away getting a pedicure done together and they were just being so loud - normally wouldn’t bother me but for a spa environment I had the relaxing music in one ear and their loud laughter and chatting in the other.. perhaps that’s one thing the staff should keep ontop of. Otherwise a lovely experience and I’m super happy with my nails!
I was happy overall with the wax and the lady who did it was really friendly and quick. I had a good value thanks to Treatwell. I had a full leg wax and underarm wax for 25.50£ that I already payed from the up. On top of it I asked to pay the difference for have my upper lips and half arms wax and it costed me 15£. I think was a bit expensive even because I didn't have done my intimate part which I would add if there was a better value.
excellent therapist & treatment
