Awful awful visit. Me and my friend had it done and hers was better and looked actually quite good to be fair. Mine however looked as if a five year old had done it. The makeup artist didn't listen to a word I said- I asked for a copper eye shadow and she put a gold eye cream on. I asked for Matt lips specifically and she applied lip gloss. It was as if her and I spoke different languages. Eye shadow was all over my face with so much fall out and I looked like a glitter ball. For £35 I felt ripped off as had to then go home and re do it all. To be honest it wouldn't matter how much I'd paid I would have thought it was too much. There wasn't one thing I was happy with. Very bad experience and for someone who enjoys doing their own makeup- I will be sticking to doing it myself.
Had my wedding makeup done by Nikki at Facebar and it was amazing. She instinctively knew exactly what I wanted and was able to translate the pictures I brought into a beautiful bridal look. She uses great products and talks you through exactly what she is doing. I would recommend her 100%
The facebar is within a hair salon so it is not exclusively for make up which provided a different ambience. The person who did my make-up was very kind and helpful and endeavoured to ensure I was happy with the result. I would have enjoyed it if she had been a bit more creative herself and had some ideas to share about what options were open to me as I don't have much knowledge of make-up styles.
