Good facial. Staff weren’t brilliant- I was kept waiting in the treatment room for a long time- Ruined it for me. Product over person seemed to be her priority
I booked the 45-min intro offer “feed your skin” experience for £15 redeemable against purchase. It started with the consultation: I don’t think this brought anything to the treatment as it only looked at one side of the skin and the results were not used for the facial itself. Then I had the very short treatment (less than 15 minutes) which was nice but clearly not long enough. The therapist said she would leave the exfoliant for 5 minutes but actually came back after 1 minute! The lady was nice though.
I didn’t enjoy my visit to Elemis Debenhams, I’ve been only once before to Elemis and my experience was much better last time.
The treatwell deal was for a 45 minute facial and a gift set as an add on. When I got there the beautician explained to me that because it was cold outside on the shop floor where they normally take place she would use a treatment room but that would mean that my facial would only be 15-30 mins (!) she explained this to a colleague in my presence and I was saddened that they were freeing up their schedule at my expense.
My skin analysis was incorrect because she clicked that I wasn’t wearing any make up and then asked me right at the end of the analysis if I was, so she was pointing out flaws based on this being my clear skin rather than having make up on.
The facial itself was ok, if a bit rushed, the beautician told me that I didn’t exercise ?! She didn’t ask me and I take pride in how active I am. I appreciate if she can tell my skin is not benefitting from enough circulation that she could suggest a few things but I found it so rude and personal at the time which put me off. At the end my skin felt clean but I wiped make up off my face, that she’d obviously missed, later that night so was disappointed ultimately.
Elemis facials are only done so they can hard sell you products, she didn’t even offer the gift that was part of the deal. If you buy Elemis anyway, go as a perk but I wouldn’t recommend it as a new customer because they practically force you to buy something.
