The place was not easy to find and I was not impressed by the Studio when I arrived. I was also a bit surprised that a man would give me the massage...Eventually I was very happy with the Aromatherapy massage and I awarded it 4 stars. I will definitely go back and ask for Jerry
I wouldn't really recommend getting the japanese straightening here. For this price, I wish I had gone elsewhere. My issue was that there are certain parts of my hair--like right in front--that are not fullt straightened. I went back to get those parts fixed, but my hairdresser thought they were curly because I slept on them wrongly or something. He offered to do them again, but to first wash and blow-dry in order to see if they were truly curly. The thing is, when you blow dry hair straight, it will stay like that, at least for a bit. Which is what happened. Thinking that he had in fact been right, I left the salon happily. Unfortunately, a few hours later, the parts that I had suspected to be curly had started to break out of the temporary fix and start curling outwards again. This is really irritating, because I've had my hair rebonded twice before and no such issues arose until many months after the procedure. That is why I gave Elegant Studios an "ok" rating. While the staff were lovely and accomidating, I don't have the time nor energy to visit the salon for a third time to correct an error that should not have even occurred if the procedure were done correctly.
The Thai massage feels very authentic. The process is not exactly comfortable, but I think it has more of positive long-lasting effect than other massages I have had in the past.
There are quite a lot of massage rooms in the studio in China town. The place is not very well decorated in my view, but still acceptable.
