I had a one hour Swedish massage. I knew the venue and did not expect it to be luxurious and it wasn't, however it was clean and well kept and perfectly fine. The masseuse greeted me at reception and we got through the form filling process quickly. She asked me I was comfortable enough and offered to cover me with blankets to keep warm, which was a nice touch. The massage itself was a mixed bag, some parts felt effective but other parts did not seem to have much effect. I did leave feeling more relaxed than before, but was not floating on air like I have had with some previous massages.
The massage was good and the lady that ran the treatment gave me helpful advice and a friendly service. This is obviously exceptional value for money but the venue does lack atmosphere and a feeling of calm due to it being in an industrial building on a very busy road and you can hear roadworks and loud noises coming through the door. However, the service was great for the price and I would recommend these treatments when on a budget.
The end result was a good pedicure and I am very happy with how it looks.
However, the building is shabby, the salon is set up entirely for facial and laser treatments, and there is no specific pedicure area. I sat in a regular chair which wasn't very comfortable, even though the pedicurist constantly asked if I was comfortable. It just isn't set up properly for nail services as far as comfort.
I had a very good galvanic facial. The therapist was professional, polite and friendly. I would definitely go back for more treatments. I knew that this was in a college (having been there before) so didn't mind that that the surroundings were not like in a spa.
