Had appointment for 1pm but they weren't ready for me until 1.45pm and I wasn't informed how long the delay might be (I could've done one of my many other chores in the meantime). If they'd called to let me know they were running late I could have avoided a lot of inconvenience. The staff were friendly and talented, I think it's a case of taking too many bookings. The stylists also had to man reception themselves as well as juggle their clients. It would be better to have a dedicated receptionist or junior. This is a reflection on management rather than the staff as they were doing their best. Also, the extra charge of £25 for toner seems quite hefty.
As for my balayage colour itself, my male hairdresser is a very talented colourist - I love my hair. Sorry I wasn't able to leave more of a tip as I used most of my cash paying the above toner charge (they only take cash, no cards).
