I used to work near the salon and came a lot for waxing, and it was the best I'd had in London. This time, however, it was honestly the worst. The woman who did it was very sweet (and new, I think), but she lacked confidence and seemed to not know how to use hot wax, being unable to get it off once applied (which was very painful) and having to resort to strip wax after several tugging attempts. She'd applied it everywhere all at once, which I think was the issue and not the technique I'm used to (quick, efficient and virtually painless). This was disappointing and extremely uncomfortable. The wax was also not very thorough, which used to be something I loved about Clerkenwell's - I actually had to do further removal once home which is not really acceptable. I won't be returning, sadly, as I won't know which therapist I'll get. I was also made aware that prices are cheaper in the salon that advertised on Treatwell, so best to book direct.
