The Massage itself was really really good. The woman who did it clearly knew what she was doing and always asked if the pressure was OK when she moved onto a new part. She was very nice and professional and I definitely rate her.
The spa itself is OK. I have been to places that are a lot better. I have had a really terrible manicure from there so I would definitely not recommend you go there for your nails. However, all of the massages I have there are fab.
I hadn't ever been waxed before so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, aside from... well, the obvious. I was pretty nervous, but it was really fine. The first lady I spoke to seemed a bit uncertain, but another took over and booked me in right away. I was seen right on time.
It hurt a bit in places, but to me it hurt less than brushing knots out of my hair, if that's any comparison to go by. I asked some questions and didn't always receive super informed answers, but it was enough and I didn't feel ignored or anything. We had a nice chat and it was a bit surreal because I was chatting horizontally with my pants off. But, hey.
As for the waxing itself, yes, it was red after, but I'd expected that much. It didn't hurt a lot after, but I wore leggings there. I did have a little blood when I checked later, but nothing alarming. The wax was a little uneven? The hair's in a line but it wavers to the left a little bit. Other than that, I have no qualms. I'd go back, but I might go elsewhere for a full Hollywood wax.
So, overall:
+ Positive:
• Seen on time; efficient
• Took exactly 20 minutes, as I was told it would
• Really cheap
• Private
• Not painful (personally)
- Negative:
• Little information given (on the procedure, aftercare, any products required)
• Felt kind of impersonal, but some might prefer that
• A bit abrupt at the end, wasn't sure if I had to wait for more?
Overall: It was efficient and cheap, but it was really rather good and I was surprised by the quality for the price. I'd go again.
I booked an early appointment, however when I arrived the venue was not ready. The room that was used had all bits of tissue and wax on the floor - looked like it had not been swept for some time...? Hygiene? Bin was empty, but pieces of wax on the inside. No pillow on bed...very disappointing.
