Great value for money day. Only downside is that there aren't many chill out areas compared to other spas I've been to.

They didn't have our paper work ready on arrival. We had booked for the champneys day which included a 25 min treatment and were told that wasn't included so we had to show them our booking. All in all not a relaxing day at all and we felt it was an expensive experience which none of us enjoyed and there were four of us so not very pleased and we will think very carefully whether we will go again.

Fabulous spa, the staff while brusque on the phones are lovely in person, and the venue itself is charming and lovely and kept as clean as possible. The hot tub could do with a little regeneration of some of the tiles but everything else is perfect.

Great place with great food and good staff. However some of the classes we wanted we needed to pay for eg Pilates and meditation.

Amazing! Loved the treatments that we booked (facial & massage), although the infra-red sauna was a bit lim . Overall, my wife and I had a wonderful 13th year anniversary - thank you!

The facilities at the spa were excellent. We had the Seasonal Treatment (a lime body buff) and both had an additional treatment, all of which were superbly done. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, it was well appointed and generously proportioned even though we were on the top floor and in the eaves.
All the staff were incredibly helpful and made every effort to make sure that things ran smoothly during our stay.
The food was good, although a request for pink lamb was ignored and it arrived well done; but it was reasonably tasty anyway. But breakfast and lunch buffets were great and it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere.
However, I would echo previous reviews about the booking problems, the process through Wahanda is great but actually communicating with Champneys is pretty hard work when you need to do it via email. Responses are haphazard and I suspect that although the same name was on the email footer it probably wasn't the same person replying as they missed one of my replies and were asking questions I had previously answered. I was forewarned thanks to the previous comments so made the effort to contact Champneys in advance to confirm everything and was glad I did as it made for a stress-free visit!
It was a great overnight stay, it was excellent value and we shall look to go back.

First time at champneys being a regular at Y spa and Eden hall. It has a grand external appearance and reception but the facilities deteriorate in quality from there. Changing rooms with out of order showers and buckets catching constant flow of water from ceiling by the sauna. Piles of wet towels not cleared away at 10am. Pool - huge for getting a proper swim, but tired with missing tiles. Could be so much better. Jacuzzi cooler than pool water. steam rooms like small boxes located in changing rooms. Thalassotherapy nice but supervised and time restricted.
Lunch fantastic - both food quality and service which we enjoyed, however the Welcome buffet with cheap orange juice and under ripe fruit disappointing. Conservatory area pleasant and comfortable.
" Champneys relaxing facial" was poor - anything but relaxing ...with product bottles being pumped and clattering right by my ear! And a seemingly inexperienced therapist. Tired treatment rooms with bad lighting. The other two people in my party had similar views of the champneys massage and again the facial.
On arrival I witnessed a dissatisfied customer cancelling her booking and wanting a refund which was not being handled brilliantly. We share our feelings about our visit on departure and were asked if we wanted to talk to someone. I thought we just had so declined wasting any more of our time after paying my £3 bill for a cup of tea
We will not be returning!
