I was booked to have an arm, leg and bikini line wax. The beautician didn't speak much English but was very nice. The leg wax was quick and of a good standard but unfortunately I had an issue with the bikini wax. The manager/owner (?) had told the beautician what I'd booked for waxing and showed the areas with her hands. I wasn't watching the waxing happen and at one stage I felt a lot more wax being applied to non-bikini areas. I stopped the beautician and tried to explain that I hadn't paid for a Hollywood or brazilian but she didn't understand and called the manager/owner to translate. I wasn't happy to be told by her that I should have clarified what I wanted because 'bikini' apparently means different things in different places (especially when she'd already told the beautician in English and would have been able to tell her in the other language they shared). She then told me that she wouldn't let the beautician take the rest off unless I paid the extra for the Hollywood, even though it was not my mistake, considering how 'little' I'd already paid, leaving me with an uneven finish as the extra wax could only come off one way! I would suggest anyone booking here keeps an eye on where the wax is going if the beautician doesn't speak much English (not sure how to write her name). She was very nice and my quarrel was only with the other woman, who should make sure her staff understand the treatment requested and be decent enough to allow correction of mistakes that are not the client's fault.
