I knew the location of the place was a bit odd (opposite Mercedes World) but the hotel itself is lovely. Great stnadards, lovely room & bathroom with White Company toiletries. We went on Easter Sunday so the hotel was quiet. We ate in the hotel restaurant which was quite expensive but the food was nice. We popped over to Mercedes World which the other half liked. Afternoon tea was huge and we really enjoyed it. All in all, nice for a quick getaway but we live quite close to the hotel so we didn't have to travel far. If you aren't interested in cars though, maybe not the hotel for you.
This corporate hotel is set just outside Weybridge (5 mins in a cab from the station) and has lovely rooms, great reception are, nice dining room and really cool bar. The cocktails are fabulous and you can see that everything is freshly made. The spa are is really nice and relaxing, especially the relaxation room which has water beds which are heated - you can easily get a power nap in there while listening to the soft sounds of dolphins and water. The hot tub is great as it's outside! It fits up to 4 people so perfect for a group. The best things about this hotel are the champagne afternoon tea (the cakes are gorgeous!) and the breakfast which is fresh and has fabulous variety. Something for everyone!
We had a £99 deal (dbl room, breakfast, spa facilities, Royal afternoon tea and 4pm check-out) and overall were really happy with our stay. An 8/10 from me and a 7/10 for hubby. The room (decor, facilities and en suite) were all of a great standard - clean, modern, worthy of its 4*. The staff were all really attentive, polite and helpful (maybe a little too much so sometimes). Food (breakfast and afternoon tea) were truly lovely. The only issues we had were with dinner. My chicken was really dry and when we told our waitress she said that many people had said that and they were planning to change the menu! Why send out food you know isn't good? It was also a bit pricey for two courses (sides were extra), one bottle of water and one of average wine - £98. Then, the Spa experience was spoiled for my 'new-to-Spa' husband. We advised Spa reception we were in the relaxation room and checked they'd come and get us for our treatment time. They didn't. I got a call on my mobile (lucky I had it on me) 15mins after my appointment time to ask me where I was! My treatment (hot stone massage - 25m, £33) was fantastic! But, went on for 40mins and I was then told that the delay and my treatment time (neither our fault) had taken up my husband's slot and he couldn't now be seen!! He'd spent 3hrs sitting around in a dressing awkwardly waiting for a treatment that never happened. He won't be doing that again. It spoiled his day and tarnished my relaxing time. The Spa manager was however apologetic and offered us a compensatory gift. The only other negative to note is that several groups (all fully dressed, some with children/whole families in tow) were being shown around the Spa facilities whilst we were trying to enjoy them, all of whom generally bellowed, "Oh! I can see this would be VERY relaxing!". Well, yes, it would if you'd leave us to it.... Generally, well worth a visit for some time out in really lovely surroundings. They do the big things really well. With a little more sharpening up on the smaller things though the experience would be slick and would allow the rest of the evident hard work to shine through.
The Wahanda Deal we used was great value for money. The afternoon tea was huge and the hotel was lovely. My only criticism would be that the steam and sauna facilities are in the changing rooms , so if you were a couple you would not be able enjoy these together. The lack of swimming pool would leave you with just the hot tub and lounge to spend time in together.
Amazing hotel, and really good value for money. Arrived late on the Saturday afternoon, where we had our afternoon tea in the bar. Only complaint I can find is that when they served us the afternoon tea they brought out the cakes and scones 10 minutes before the sandwiches. Booked ourselves in for a massage in the spa, which was fantastic. Cant comment on the breakfast as slept right through till lunchtime, so missed out on that part of the deal unfortunately!
