The hotel was very nice, food was delicious, and my treatments was very nice, however the "spa facilities" were hardly that and very lack muster. One sauna and steamroom, very small, located in the changing rooms. Other than that the entire "spa facility" was one outdoor hot tub that was very small and full and had you waiting for a spot, as was open to anyone in the hotel. I enjoyed it, but wasn't quite what I was expecting and if I wanted a nice spa weekend I likely would book elsewhere and won't return.
Very upset having come into the salon with a natural arch to my brow (and asked just for a tidy up) to come out with completely straight brows. Arch gone and they don't match very well either. Asked the brow technician to try and get my arch back to no avail. Pretty disappointed because the facilities and therapist where absolutely lovely. Plus I thought the deal was good value for money. Saving grace was that I was offered the chance to come back in a few days if I was still unhappy to try and fix my brows again. It's just a shame and I think I will be taking them up on the offer to come back.
Great relaxing location and staff are really nice. Shame the Jacuzzi wasn't working but didn't spoil the day
Brooklands is a small spa by comparison to others I've been to, and so it is unfortunate that one of their key features, the outdoor hot tub, wasn't working on the day I visited. Additionally the meditation room has only three spaces and needs to be booked in twenty minute slots. This room is mostly glorious, with warm water beds and low lighting - highly relaxing except for when the door is opened, which happened during both of slots I booked, due to the noise of the opening and the closing of the door. There isn't a lot of soundproofing either so when a group of 4 women all chatting and laughing loudly walk past you can hear pretty much every word - a fault with disrespectful guests rather than Brooklands per se but it did detract from an otherwise lovely experience. There are ladies only sauna and steam rooms in the changing rooms and a relaxation area that is both inside and out, the outdoor beds giving a view over the Mercedes world racetrack and in the sunshine was a very pleasant way to chill out. The two treatments I had as part of my visit were excellent (50 minute massage and 50 minute Divine facial). My facial by Sammy was one of the best I've ever had, my friend similarly raved about her massage from Sammy.
they had no record of my booking, managed to fit me in but needed to wait an hour
