had a lovely day, both my friend and I chose a back massage which was lovely. Couple of points to note though there was hardly any seating around the pool, we luckily got a lounger but there were quite a few people there who had no place to sit. There were plenty of towels, we could ask for more and we were given a tour of the facilities when we arrived. Also no dressing gowns. We ate lunch at the hotel and this (pricey as you would expect) was lovely but the indoor seating area was packed (being a sunday) and we had to sit outside (find a table and chair that was nearly dry as it had previously rained) but luckily it was a really sunny day. Overall we had a lovely relaxing day but facilities only cater for a small number of people. The back massage was lovely, never had one before but would try it again.
Enjoyed the day with my friend. Food in the bar was a bit pricey but since it was a treat didn't mind paying the extra. The treatments were spot on. Gym had lots of good modern equipment and the pool with facilities was decent to. Overall a good day and would recommend!
We struggled to find the Hotel because we did not have a tom tom and so we arrived later than we planned. Couldnt believe how big the place was both inside and out! Lovely surroundings too. We went straight to the pool and enjoyed a lovely relaxing time swimming for an hour with my partner...Luckily the pool was not too full and no kids as it was adults time only. Couldnt believe how big the place was both inside and out! Lovely surroundings too. The massage i had was enjoyable and and relaxing as i suffer from a lot of neck tension it was just what i needed after my swimming. My husband sat in the bar whilst i had my massage enjoying a drink. The best part for me was the steam / sauna room which we both found very theraputic and relaxing and my partner spent longer in it than i did, but i enjoyed it nevertheless. To top it off we had a nice cosy lunch comprising of sandwiches salad dessert and coffee to finish it off. Overall we found it great value for money , the staff were friendly and polite and i will definitely be looking out for more offers to give as gifts to friends and for myself in the future. Would be a great xmas treat for someone.
I booked the Boot camp session over the phone and was told that there had been a drop in numbers recently, so if the session was cancelled they would ring me and let me know. They took my name and contact details. I arrived at the setting (which does look very impressive) and was directed through the building to the leisure department. The lady on the desk told me that the boot camp sessions had not run for the past two weeks! I asked why i was not contacted and she informed me that due to lack of numbers, a booking sheet for this week had not been entered onto the computer so they had no record of me booking in. I was furious! I had had to arrange a baby sitter for my children in order for me to attend the class. She asked if i would like to use the gym instead, but i declined. I can do the gym any time, i was really looking forward to trying something different. She said they have had no interest in the sessions so was unable to confirm if or when the session would be available in the future.
The leisure facilities could have been better. It would have been nice to have been offered robes to slip on and the availability to have a light lunch and sit outside with a drink rather than have to get dressed to do this as this ended our spa day which was a shame. The hotel grounds where really beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. The overall condition of the place was really good and lovely and clean.
