Great new place in Essex road, much different to the dark and expensive places around. Staff are from Brazil and they are fantastic professionals. Not all speak English but the owner is very helpful. Clean, beautifully finished and bright place.
I have been to Brasil Hair already 3 times. It is near where I live, and offers great value through Wahanda. Used to pay £130 for colour, cut and blow-dry, now I pay £40. The salon is new and nicely decorated, very clean and bright. The staff are from Brazil and not all of them speak English, but those who know help and communication is possible. They know how to do hair very well, my Keratin treatment done in July is still on and makes my unruly hair look smooth. I also had colour which was done very well. They wash your hair on a massage chair which is good too. Never very busy with people, quick and efficient. I recommend it highly. It stands out of the many dingy and expensive salons in Islington.
Really great service, very individual and happy with my hair but there were some language barriers which proved a bit tricky at times.
Whilst the highlights received were great and the lady who did them seemed nice, I was quite surprised on arriving that two of the hairdressers there didn't speak English and had to be translated. This is a little unsettling when you want to communicate specifically how you want your hair to look. I think if I had been told as I walked in the door that this was the setup then I might not have minded so much but unfortunately I don't think I would return as I do think it's important that you are able to talk to your stylist throughout as everyone has such different requirements.
Uneven highlights, bad technique, unable to communicate my wishes directly to colourist/stylist because of language barrier, uneven haircut. Would never go back.
