My third visit to this salon for a different wax treatment. Though 15 minutes late, I got a good job from the manager, Bruna, who speaks English and I had my first conversation since I have been going there.

I went in for what I thought was just a soak off for some gel nails but what I got was an excellent little manicure as well with Juliana taking great care to buff and polish my nails back into good condition! My nails felt great afterwards and I was very impressed with the friendliness and offering of this salon in Islington. I will definitely go back for the full gel mani and pedi. So much better than the gel nails I recently had for the first time elsewhere. It's amazing what a bit of time, care and attention can do - highly recommended! I think the off peak offers are excellent value on Treatwell but the service was so good and the range of colours for the gel much better too so I would be happy to pay full price for a peak time slot.

I went in for an eyebrow wax and left with my brows looking exactly the same as when I arrived. I have no idea what the therapist was doing but there was no sign of hair removal bar the blobs of wax she left stuck to my temple.

The salon was nice and staff friendly, but it was not the best wax I have had. Although the beautician was clearly competent and it wasn't too painful, it was not the most thorough and when I came home I found areas of hair remaining.
