I’ve been here a few times before and the service is usually very fast, professional and efficient - about 15 mins total for a Hollywood wax. I was a bit disappointed on this visit because I think my waxer was a trainee, she seemed a bit nervous and not sure of what she was doing (used pre-wax tea tree treatment on me post-wax, not the most soothing!), and she didn’t speak any English. The wax took about 40 mins. I think if there had been someone there to supervise I’d have felt more comfortable, or if it had been made clear that she was fairly new to the procedure then I would have known what to expect. As it was, it was a bit of an awkward experience, and not as good as previous visits. I’ll still return, because the overall result was fine, and I’m sure she’ll gain more experience in the next month or so, but it wasn’t the service I usually expect.
I wish I’d said something at the time, but there were about 5 people chatting at the reception desk and I was late to meet a friend, so I ended up scurrying out without flagging it to anyone.
