This was my third Hollywood wax. I'd been going elsewhere for the first two and as it was a bit far from my house I thought I'd try this one. I was taken into a room with no windows or music and the equipment and decor was not the best. The beautician worked in silence so I decided to make conversation as it was very awkward.
When she did "the back" she asked me to lay on my front and hold "the cheeks open" as she put it. The other place I go to don't request me to get into this position. They instead ask me to bring my knees to my chest so my view is still of the beautician. However being asked to lay on my front, my head was away from the beautician facing the opposite wall. She kept saying "make sure you don't let go" and yet took what felt like 5mins before she actually waxed that area. Whilst waiting I started to feel uncomfortable but as she'd already put the wax on and kept repeating "don't let go" I couldn't adjust or move.
Once finished she left the room I saw she'd left me some aftercare cream and a few cotton pads. This couldn't have taken 5mins to prepare. I have done some research after this incident and have realised this position is not used elsewhere!
Please stay away!
