Served a rock of a scone with afternoon tea which I couldn't even cut, when asked for another a lump of dough uncooked and then I was told all cakes are raw inside when fresh out of the oven

Apparently it is going to be refurbished and it does need it. the staff were brilliant and Sophie the manager did everything to accomodate us at short notice.

Amazing friendly staff in all departments.The main part of the Hotel was very clean. The afternoon tea was lovely.
Unfortunately the Spa has subdued lighting and it's not obvious at first how unclean it is. A good hose down each evening would make a difference. The level of chorine is far too high it stings the eyes. Just wonder how often the water is tested. We did enjoy our treatment, most relaxing and very professional staff.
