We were brought a 'revive' spa day as a gift. Reception staff friendly and we liked the fire side seating. We were late being taken in to massage and felt it was a little rushed and that therapist were merely following a set routine and not concentrating on areas that needed it. Although friendly they did not set a calm and relaxing environment! 🙄
We both had two course lunch, I had the lemon chicken with sautéed new potatoes- glad I wasn't paying full price as for £15 i would have been disappointed. Quite dry as no sauce or dressing and chicken was plain. Ok if you're on a diet but not a nice 'treat' meal!
Also, not enough loungers around pool but the fascilities are well maintained and pool decent size. I appreciate that is why there is not enough space to fit more loungers in.
Would be happy to stay for the hotel but perhaps not for a whole spa day again.
I had never had a hot stone massage before. It was nice but it felt like the hot stone just allowed the therapist to move oil over my body. Perhaps I should have chosen a Swedish massage as I am used to a sports therapy massage so would have preferred a more firm massage.
