Visit was good. Massage was great just a shame it wasn’t possible to have longer treatments. Booked 2 treatments, would have been useful to know that connecting rooms are available.
My husband and I had an absolutely amazing back facial with a back and leg massage. It was super relaxing (to the point that I was almost drooling!) and we felt great afterwards. The facilities are excellent and the staff are lovely. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing spa break. Children are allowed in the pool and spa area between 7am - midday and 6pm - 9pm, which I liked as it still allows family time at the hotel but gives a good few hours for adults looking to relax the opportunity to relax in peace too.
I had paid £85 for one and a half hours of treatment titled Drift Away.
Although the massage was wonderful at the time shortly afterwards I had a terrible pain in my back, my husband was concerned about this and questioned the staff member who had carried out the treatment. She asked him what I had done since the massage and he told her that we just went for a short walk into town, she replied that it is not a good idea to do any exercise after a massage, this I think is a load of tosh. It is now two days after and I am still having pain's in my back only being relieved with Ibuprofen.
I will be visiting my consultant in a couple of days to get her opinion.
It may be nothing but I did not like the fact that she tried to make an excuse rather than giving me her professional opinion and advising me to seek medical advice. The hotel itself was fantastic, service, food and the staff could not do enough for you, would definitely stay again but would think twice about having a massage.
