The staff were very friendly and helpful. They took their time to explain the Brazilian blow wave to me and were easy going and relaxed throughout the treatment. The results of the blow wave are fantastic. I'm very happy.
AMAZING therapist! The best wax I have ever had. Wish I remember her name. She was funny and so very good at what she does! The waxing didnt even hurt that much! Definitely go there again!!
I went for £18 for Two Areas of Waxing from a choice of 12 areas. I had a full leg and hollywood waxing. This was the least painful waxing treatment I have ever had. The end result was exactly as expected. This was my second visit and I will be revisiting again. Would definitely recommend.
Blooms is a little out of the way in Clerkenwell, but not too had to find. However on arrival, it transpired that they had not booked me into their diary, so, as I had travelled a long way for the cut, it was fortunate that a stylist was free, or I could have had a completely wasted journey. The staff were very friendly and amenable, however. I felt the cut was perfunctory and I was not really bowled over with the results. Nothing was wrong, strictly speaking, but I didn't feel special, and I didn't feel like I had had my hair 'done'. In fact it was raining as I left, and whereas normally this would be a disaster post haircut sans umbrella, I didn't really care, which says a lot....
Before I do any of the mob deals I always read the reviews here on Wahanda...and sometimes even AFTER I've bought my mob deal I read the reviews to see if everyone else had a good experience. I read a LOT of mixed reviews for this place and I was a bit apprehensive (especially after my last waxing experience at a different salon -- the woman did a horrific job, she waxed off chunks of skin and the healing time was ugly and painful). I went for a half leg and a hollywood wax, I couldn't resist the value for money. I had a bit of trouble on the phone booking with the receptionist, apparently they were recently featured on a different deal for a massage treatment so he just wasn't understanding that I wanted to book for the waxing deal even though I mentioned it repeatedly. But despite our frustrating miscommunication I managed to get an appointment. I was told that they have two technicians but only one is trained to do the hollywood wax, so I obviously booked with her! The hair salon itself is pretty small and nondescript. It's not really anything special and the space is VERY cramped. Thankfully the therapist room is large enough (but you don't really need *too* much space so it's not a problem) to get the job done! I was seen by a wonderful woman named Corinne (I hope I'm spelling that correctly) and she did a fantastic job. Some people complained that their waxing therapist left hair behind...I've had really bad waxing jobs done where they left massive patches of hair behind, like they just forgot to do half of my leg. This wasn't the case. After some really close inspection I found two or three hairs in total between both my legs (and they were very fine baby hairs, I can see why she missed them, I missed them at first and I had to TRY to find them!). She went over my legs afterwards with her eyes and hands making sure she didn't miss anything. The hollywood wax was as painful as expected but she was quick and effective. She swapped sides as often as possible to keep me from getting too sensitive in any one area. I am incredibly happy with the results. Unfortunately waxing is expensive and I don't know if I'd go back to this salon without another mob deal. But I am very pleased with my experience, I don't know what happened to the other women that went, maybe they didn't see Corinne. Ask for her!!
