First of all - the level of this review has nothing whatsoever to do with the stylist who served me. She was friendly and did an excellent job on my blow-dry - everyone commented on how nice it looked.
There was a major problem with this place though. I have long hair. In the past at other salons, I have been informed up front that I would need to pay a supplement for a blow-dry due to the extra time my hair would take. I don't have a problem with this - as long as you know how much it will be beforehand - it gives you the opportunity to walk away if you're unhappy with the higher price.
What happened here was shambolic. Having had my hair washed (so it was soaking wet) I was informed by my embarassed stylist that it would be an extra £15 on top of the £18 I had paid via Treatwell. At this point I was stuck - on way straight out to my birthday party after the hairdressers I had soaking wet hair and no other option than to allow the blow-dry to go ahead - despite not being told this.
The appointment lasted 55 minutes, 10 minutes more than the allotted 45 minute slot booked, and we were five minutes late starting. How they can justify charging nearly double the amount of the original treatment for this amount of time is baffling.
I asked to speak to the owner and immediately understood where the problem was coming from. She was rude, belligerent and unwilling to negotiate on the price. I offered to pay an extra £5 (which I though was fair given the price of the original treatment) pointing out my appointment had only run over by five minutes and then give a £5 tip to the stylist because she had done such a good job.She said that they base their prices on the length of hair not on the time it takes. I responded that that was plainly not the case given the specified 45 minute timeslot. In the end I dumped the £15 on the counter, couldn't be bothered to argue anymore as I had a reservation that I was late for and didn't want to spoil my evening any more. In addition to this the treatment on Treatwell specifies a Morrocanoil Conditioning treatment. They did not do any such treatment and the products used in the salon are Wella - NOT Morrocanoil.
Despite the quality of the blow dry I will not return as the owner is an objectionable fraud and I feel conned by my experience. £33 for a blow-dry is not good value and you can visit a much nicer salon for much less.
Blooms is quite a small hairdressers that feels a little bit like having your hair cut in a corridor. My stylist was fairly new to the salon but she was lovely and chatty and overall I was pleased with the actual hair cut itself. As i don't get my hair cut that often, I was looking forward to relaxing in a nice atmosphere however this is what is letting the salon down. The music was awful and I felt the salon itself was a bit dark. If you want a cheap quick trim, this place is fine.

This was my first visit to this Salon and it will certainly become a regular place for me to get my hair done going forward.
The team there were very welcoming and were always making sure you was comfortable and offering tea and coffee frequently throughout the visit.
My stylist was fantastic, she listened to exactly what I wanted and created the look perfectly. I never felt rushed and the whole experience from start to finish was first class.
I will certainly be returning to get my roots done!

Ok, well I am not sure where to start first, I had an app for2.30 and ive tried to call the studio a couple of ti es to try to change the time but noboy oicked up the phone, since ive finished earlier my work and i was in the area ive decided to pop up at the studio and ask if theres a chsnce to start earlier . I was thrre a 2.10 and the staff there told me in a very rude manner that i need to wait till my app, ive waited at the studio and westarted 25 minlater,the treatment wasjust a rev shampoo from boots and the blowdry wasnt that good.soi wknt go there again

Nice local salon, with friendly and polite staff. I was seen to immediately and had a good wash and cut. The stylist also bothered to blow dry my mega curly hair straight which took her an age. Appreciated!
