This is the most horrendous almost mortifying experience I have ever had. I have been waxed before and this was so unprofessional I couldn’t believe it. It is at the lady’s house, which is fine a lot of people have treatment rooms in there home so this didn’t concern me. However it went very downhill from there, firstly the lady (I don’t even know her name as she didn’t give it to me) didn’t leave the room when she asked me to change, she just said are you ok to take your pants off? And stood there, even when I asked if I could have a minute to change, she just turned around. Second of all, she had what looked like a personal bath towel, she just laid it on my tummy and that was that. She didn’t wear gloves, she didn’t tell me where to position my legs, I was just led there with my legs slightly apart whilst she came at me with a strip. This made the wax extremely painful as she was pulling at my already waxed skin to make it taught. I understand a wax is painful in that area anyway but this was something else, I had to ask her to stop so I could leave. She obviously just wanted to get me in and out with no kind of professionalism whatsoever. I almost had to cancel this appointment due to another running over but I didn’t want to let anyone down as I know it is their livelihood but I absolutely wish I had listened to my gut and cancelled this. Ladies absolutely stay away, if you would like a dignified waxing experience please just go to a salon, this is the trouble with Treatwell, you never know what you’re going to get. I am horrified. To top it all off, I have left with a half a wax, extremely painful skin and she charged me the full price. I will be emailing treatwell.
