This was the least enjoyable massage I have ever had.
The masseuse clearly didn't care. There was none of that general relaxing attitude they usually display. For the first minute or so, she tried to make conversation while I was being massaged.
The massage was also too hard. When I pointed this out, she just said "yeah, yeah" and proceeded to do it even harder. I had to intervene two times until she says "You want light or hard?". Then she went back to the initial level—which was still too hard! My back is still bruised two days later.
Even apart from this, the massage was not very enjoyable either. There was not much creativity or diversity in the movement. I felt like a mass of dough that needed to be kneaded for 30 minute.
At the end, she tried to do the thing where she hits one's back with the side of her hands vertically and in quick succession. This started out hard on one side of my back, and was floppy by the time, a whole second later, she arrived on the other side of my back.
Then she used her normal voice (no trace of the expected considerate softness) to declare "okay" and ask me if I wanted water. This only bothered me in principle, not in actuality, as I was not in a relaxed state that could have been impeded by this.
I was playing with the idea of getting up and leaving mid-massage, which I wish I had done. I have wasted not only time and money, but I was actually in a worse mood and hunched more as I left than when I came in.
Not ever again. This person did not know what they were doing.
