I’m so glad I didn’t let a couple of negative comments sway me, because my experience at this salon today was absolutely wonderful. From the moment I walked in without an appointment, I was warmly welcomed. Jair was incredibly kind, attentive, and really took the time to listen to my concerns. He gave me a relaxing wash followed by a beautiful blow dry that left me feeling confident. The salon itself has a lovely rustic yet clean and inviting vibe that made me feel comfortable right away. It’s also one of the most reasonable salons in the area. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you 😊
Asked for a trim — left with a drastic, uneven cut I didn’t consent to. Still out £140 and devastated. This was by far the most disappointing salon experience I’ve ever had. I booked in for a simple trim at the Blackfriars branch — 1–2cm off the ends, long blended layers, and clear instructions not to remove length. I emphasised multiple times that I was nervous, that my hair takes years to grow, and that I wanted to keep it long with minimal changes. Instead, I left with several inches taken off, visibly uneven layers that don’t match my parting, and a cut that looks rushed and imprecise. One side sits shorter than the other, and there’s no way to wear it down without it looking like a mistake. The only option was tying it up. I tried to raise this calmly with the salon after washing and styling it at home — that’s when I saw how bad it really was. The owner, Jair, was dismissive and sarcastic on the phone. I ended up in tears after the call. There was no apology, no offer to correct it, and no refund — just defensiveness and a refusal to take responsibility. He even responded, when I said I didn’t feel this was my fault: “What do you want, for me to cry on the phone to you?” I’ve since had to pay £100 at another salon for a corrective cut just to make it wearable. That stylist was visibly shocked at the state of it. Photos attached so you can judge for yourself. (The last one, with the smiley face, is the before.) I truly regret this experience and the money I lost — not to mention how upsetting it’s been to feel so dismissed when I tried to resolve it reasonably. EDIT: I’ve never received a refund, and the salon stopped replying to my emails. The owner’s public response here is not accurate.
Excellent! I have been with another hairdresser for 10 years and occasionally tried others when she was away, none had compared…until today! Lovely, friendly atmosphere in the salon and Jair was so confident and capable in his understanding of what I was looking for. Really pleased and the price is more than fair, especially for central London.
It was my first haircut at this venue, and I had an amazing experience. Hernando’s warm welcome and professionalism stood out. He explained every step of the cut, which showed his expertise—something I’ve never experienced with other barbers. The atmosphere was also great—calm, clean, and well-lit, with no loud, annoying music like in most barbershops. It made the experience even more relaxing. Overall, they are true professionals, and I highly recommend them!
I recently moved close to the area so I went to ask for pricing and to book an appointment. It seems to be a very clean place but I did not like at all the actitude of the guy who gave me the information; he was looking at me very unprofessional way like if what I was saying was weird and rolling eyes. I hate when people touch me while talking just because of that I will cancel and don’t go. It seems a good place but have been to other different hair salon in central and never treated like this before!
