It was a lovely experience as I went there to catch up with a friend that I hadn't seen for quite a while. We had the WOW sensation package which included a 25minute facial, 25minute back massage and 25minute body scrub. The therapists were absolutely lovely, I really enjoyed the facial I felt like I was in heaven and wanted her never to stop! The only comment I'd make is the space, as the lockers were situated between the sauna and steam room but other than that I had a lovely experience with my friend and we are considering coming back soon.
The oriental therapist, sorry couldn't catch her name was absolutely amazing at massage I recieved. If anyone who's going for massage, i 100% can recommend. The best in London!!!
Very small spa area, the sauna was pretty much cold so it was basically a small steam room and a shower within the changing room, no relaxation area at all. The only area to sit down is in the reception which is not ideal. I don't think they should be a able to call this a spa getaway day or spa experience. The staff were lovely though and the massage was very good though but next time I would just go there for a massage and a drink at the bar afterwards.
After buying the Mix It Up Package for Away Spa at the W Hotel I was extremely disappointed with the value for money. On arrival after receiving our towels we had to change in two tiny bathrooms that had previously been showered in with dirty flannels left on the side. We then had to wait in what seemed to be their reception area to 'unwind and relax' which wasn't easier with contractors and visitors calling at reception throughout the afternoon. My apparent 'pedicure' was a simple file and polish, I didn't receive any of the usual pedicure treatments such as a foot ex foliation and soak. And then once we had gone downstairs to the lounge for our cocktail most of the areas were reserved for guests of the hotel and the barman were too busy to serve us for what seemed 40 minutes. I was a big fan of the W Hotel and Wylde bar but since my visit to Away spa I'm left disappointed paying £45 for a polish and a cocktail I didn't even get to chose. I also spoke to the receptionist about my disappointment as this was meant to be a relaxing day after a stressful few months and her only response was 'you should have read the small print'.
