Had a really lovely experience at Away Spa at the W hotel. The spa is on the 6th floor - it's a small stylish space looking out over London.
My massage was one of the best I have ever had, the therapist did an excellent job of balancing deep tissue massage for my knotted back and relaxing softer pressure for everywhere else. The treatment room was spacious, sleek, and tranquil.
The only downside is that the whole spa area was not very big, so the only place to chill out before or after a treatment is in the waiting area. I really enjoyed the sauna, and found the steam room a bit too hot for comfort. There were a handful of individual changing rooms with showers and toiletries.
Overall the Away Spa is really amazing for massage treatments, but not quite enough facilities to make a whole day of it.

The massage was amazing, and I didn't realise you also get a free sauna and steam room afterwards too. Will definitely be going back.

Tucked away inside the W, the AWAY Spa is a little oasis of calm from the hustle and bustle of London's streets. The steam and sauna facilities are simply rooms off a short hallway in the spa - there is no real changing area as there are three 'bathrooms', each with a shower. The treatment was hands down (no pun intended!) the most relaxing massage I've had. Ever. I'd head back to the W for the massage alone!

Had a terrible experience at the W. My sister had booked spa treatments for my husband and I as a Christmas gift. She received vouchers from the spa via email in advance etc. When we arrived on the day, the spa had no record of our booking and were unable to accomodate us that afternoon. I was thoroughly disappointed especially as I had arranged for child care that day so my husband and I could use this treat together.

Nice place to spend some quality time relaxing and indulging in the high quality facilities. So good customer service, although I would urge the spa to ensure that customers leaving the hotel are not racially abused or otherwise.
Due to an incident with the security guards being rude and obtrusive upon our departure we will not return again to spend another £600.00.
