If I could give 0 I would. During the treatment, the beauticians operated with extreme unprofessionalism. At the beginning of the treatment, the wax and spatula used had been used before (which is called double dipping and is enough grounds to strip the salon of their license anyway). When the first ‘beautician’ started the waxing, I bent my leg and stretched skin (like how I am used to doing in professional salons) and was told to straighten my legs and not stretch skin. This made the process much more painful and to make things worse, the woman was applying the strip on the same area 4-5 times very harshly and pulling in all different directions without rubbing the strip onto the skin. She would apply the wax and put the strip on and wouldn’t even pat down the strip to the wax before she pulled it off harshly MULTIPLE times on the same area. This must have caused skin to rip off as I was bleeding very much, and still am. After a few minutes I could not bear the pain and when I looked down, I was literally covered in blood as I was bleeding in multiple areas. I was outraged when I saw this and demanded for another beautician to carry on the treatment. This woman called a co-worker to take over and before she started I asked her explicitly if she is professionally trained to wax, IN England, and she said she was. Again, she told me to not touch my skin and stretch and told me to lie with my legs straight – which is clearly against any training. I was then told by her that the bleeding is normal and that it happens to everyone. I explained to her that I have been waxing for years and this has never happened to me and I would not be putting up such a fuss if it was normal. The first woman who had left kept on coming past the curtain whilst I was midway my treatment, invading any sort of privacy or the inch of professionalism that was left. At one time, she even came in to tell the woman who was working on me that she had a phonecall. I was absolutely bewildered to see that she took the call while she was still working on me and she spoke and waxed for a good few minutes. She then asked me to check if I was happy with the result, and despite many bleeding spots and scars I pointed out that she had left many hairs and she tweezed some but I was so outraged with the service I did not want to spend any longer in the ‘salon’ so I asked her to stop and left. Before leaving, I expressed my frustration in the service I received and told her I will be leaving her a bad review and she smirked cheekily and told me to do it. After the treatment on the way home I was in dire pain in that area and upon reaching home I checked the bleeding and saw it was still bleeding everywhere and the area had swell up and was red due to the harshness and amount of the stripping off. I called the salon again and explained I was in such pain and still bleeding and how I had swell up and demanded a refund. I was told I was not bleeding that heavily for a refund, and that if I wanted a refund I would have to travel all the way back to the salon to get it. I refused to be inconvenienced any further and said I would like an online transfer, to which I got the response that I should send her a picture to prove the blood. I explained that she and her colleague had already seen the result and how I researched online and found that I am able to sue them for this incident, to which she shouted “Go on then, sue me”. I did not want to continue the conversation with her so I asked to speak to the owner (as she was the manager). The owner called me back after a while and he told me he is willing to refund me the cost of the treatment but not compensate me because “everyone experiences pain during waxing” and that I did not have enough grounds as to which they should compensate me. I explained to him that it wasn’t pain that I was complaining about but I was actually bleeding and he refused to listen to me. His workers had told him that I had complained due to ‘pain’ rather than telling him what actually happened.
The service wasnt explained properly therfore i did not get a wash with my cut, also the cut was quite choppy i wasnt very happy with how it looked
The staff was ok and the ambience a bit poor.. But the hollywood waxing was great and it was the cheapest that I found in that area! I strongly recommend it if you are searching for a cheap waxing.
Iv used this salon before the staff are very friendly and understandable they make you feel comfortable. I would recommend this place to family and friends.
