Awful gel manicure. I get normal and gel/shellac manicures minimum twice a month and this was only the second time I've ever left a salon unhappy with the results.
The salon itself was unclean and messy. They don't use a fresh nail file for each customer as most salons do for hygiene reasons, and the towels and surfaces in the salon were dirty. The nail technician who did my nails seemed like a lovely person, she was friendly and chatty, but I think she may be overworked and not supported enough at her job. She kept having to pause in doing my manicure to serve people coming in to book appointments etc which I wouldn't mind if she was able to provide a good manicure regardless. Unfortunately she seemed very distracted while doing my manicure, and the results were awful - blotchy paint that came nowhere close to the root of my nail so it looked like I had a week of regrowth when I left the salon. I pointed out the blotchiness and unevenness on my nails and she applied another layer which helped, but my nails still looked far from ideal - at that point I gave up and left.
The appointment started late and finished about 30 minutes late - I didn't mind too much since I wasn't in a rush that day, but still isn't great. Also, I booked on Treatwell for £22 which was allegedly discounted, but when I arrived at the salon, the same manicure was priced at £20 on their normal price list. I definitely wouldn't go back and would not recommend it to anyone.
I'd booked an hours hot stone massage. The first half hour was just a normal massage which was pretty decent apart from her constantly leaving the room. Then she disappeared for a few minutes to get the stones. Used them for about 5-10 minutes then lay them on my spine, covered me and left me in the room on my own for 5 mins. Then she came back and removed them and had me turn over to do a quick 2-3 minutes massage on my front before leaving me alone again in a pitch black room to "relax" which was pretty impossible to do with all the noise coming from just outside the door including a washing machine going through its last spin cycle.
This was NOT a hot stone massage, not to mention the furthest thing from relaxing.

This was the second time I had been to the salon and the main reason I came back was because of Lucy. She is a fab hairdresser and really cares about her clients.The salon is very clean and the staff are friendly. However they were having some problems with the treatwell booking system so I would suggest calling to book as you may arrive to find your appointment has not been added to their diaries in reception.
