I had a hair cut, with a lady who was new to working there. To start with she took me straight to the sink to wash my hair without looking at its texture (it’s very curly) and started washing it without asking what I wanted done. She asked me if I was having a trim or a ‘big change’. I said definitely only a trim, it’s taken me years to get my hair this long. When she started cutting she did it from the back, so I couldn’t see what was happenening. I was so shocked when she came to the front, and had cut about 3 inches off! I was really upset as I really only wanted a trim and now my hair is on my shoulders in a bob. Being naturally curly it will curl up way shorter, which I did not want. Last year I had my hair balayaged which was expensive, and she literally cut all the colour out of my hair- saying she liked the natural colour better.
I know it’s haid and it will crow back, and I never normally complain about these things, but I was honestly really upset as I am trying to grow my hair long and it’s taken years.
The woman herself was friendly and nice, but clearly didn’t listen to what I had said. Also she was late getting started, and came in smelling of cigarettes, which wasn’t pleasant. I won’t name names but she has really given me a bad impression of the salon and I will not be returning after this disappointing experience.
