The wax procedure itself was carried out well - very quick actually. However when I showed up in the salon, it seemed like I was not expected as I believe there is problem in communication between Treatwell and the business. I was also asked twice if I already paid for the treatment. Are they not being sent the confirmation from Treatwell that the customer has paid?
When I arrived for my appointment I was kept waiting for 25 minutes with no explanation as to why, and without being given any estimation of when I might be seen. When the therapist finally came over, she told me "I feel uncomfortable as I can't tell if you're a boy or a girl." Whilst requesting gender information in order to match clients to an appropriate therapist is legitimate, being told that my gender presentation makes someone "uncomfortable" was a very distressing experience. This salon did not seem particularly LGBT+ friendly.
