Alex’s hair salon specialises in Rasta hair/Afro style hair. This is my review of the experience.
I arrived spot on time. The hairdresser for some reason however didn’t receive my appointment booking so I waited 30 minutes while he did other customers hair - I wouldn’t of minded at all normally but I had work after my appointment (which is why I booked an appointment instead of going to a walk in place) and therefore was late for work. I read beforehand that waiting for pre booked and pre paid appointments was a common attribute here but I had optimism, turns out I was wrong.
The overall hair cut was alright, cut a bit shorter than I asked for but so do all hairdressers so other than that, it was pretty good. The blow dry was really good too. The hairdressers and Alex himself are really nice and a lovely team of people with a wonderful community of customers that they know and like. It was really heartwarming to be there.
The Salon itself was pretty decent, good equipment and standard design from a low-price salon.
I would say it’s a good place to go if you have time to spare and have curlier/afro style hair. But if you have somewhere to be, it’s quite clear from my experience and other people’s reviews that their reliability with time can be questionable

Dissatisfied with the result this time as a new keratin product was used and was not to my liking and not communicated very well. Alex tried his best to solve the problem.
