Great looking salon and I wanted to love it but didn't. The stations are a wee bit cramped. I was offered a head massage when first seated while waiting for my stylist. I thought it was a lovely touch and just what I needed after rushing over after the work week on a Friday. It was the best head massage I ever had, for 3 min. After 3 min, the girl started gossiping with one of the stylist's and could not do 2 things at once. Her hands stopped moving but her mouth didn't. For another 3 mins and her hands remained completely still on my head (which seemed like a long time in that instance) with my hair pushed into my eyes. As soon as she as she stopped talking she just walked off. Didn't start the massage again, didn't say okay, that's you or sorry, gotta go! My stylist seemed a bit insincere in doing the chat me up thing (which is not really a requirement) while shampooing me but seemed completely distracted and uninterested in any of my answers. When I tried to do the same, she went on and on about herself. When we got back to the chair, she asked me if I wanted a tea, went away for 5 min and never brought the tea. She then asked what I wanted to have done to my shoulder length hair which was a trim and some layers. She retorted with, "ever though of going short since your hair is so thin"? Eh, no actually. Haircut proceed. She remembered my tea when my haircut was finished and went to grab one but came back with only a half cup of tea then said okay that's you, you can go sit over there to finish your tea. She didn't have anyone waiting for her. The haircut itself was okay. Not anything special about the cut, stylist or location to make me want to ever go back!
I have used Andersons now for almost a year. Samantha has been doing my cut and colour. She suggested a hair colour to suit my skin tone which I was very pleased with. I would always ask for Samantha to do my hair in the future. She is very professional and has now become a friend. I would highly recommend Andersons to all my family and friends.
