The staff were very pleasant, we were given tea on our arrival and the reception staff were very attentive. During the treatment, the treatment room walls are partition walls so any noise in the reception area can be heard (to the extent where you can hear the receptionist typing). This didn't bother me much but I can imagine if you were undergoing a longer treatment this may become quite annoying. The treatment itself however, was very relaxing and cured the issue I attended for. The therapist was very friendly and efficient and made me feel very at ease.
I had a very relaxing Massage and it really was exactly what I needed. And a great price. I would definitely recommend this to friends.
I have been for a body massage with the herbal heat wrap today.I was greeted with a drink as soon as I arrived. The receptionist discussed the massage and explained what the herbal heat wrap was as I had not had a heat wrap before.I was introduced to Candida who did the massage in the most dignified and professsional way. The ambience was very relaxing and the shop was very clean .I was asked to rate the massage afterwards and i gave 10 out of 10. I will be returning to have a hot stone massage.I will be recommending the Acuspa to my friends and family.
This was the worst massage I've ever had. It was supposed to be a hot stone massage. Instead, I was basted in oil like a turkey and the massage wasn't relaxing at all, it was just like a turkey being rubbed. The 'masseuse' got oil all over my face and hair, including using the stones on my face, neck and stomach which was very painful. I left with oil running down my face and in my hair. When I complained I was told Dr Chan wasn't actually a masseuse, but was filling in. Very disappointing and won't ever be returning.
Firstly, the massage itself and the lovely lady who performed it (I think her name began with an S, sorry I can't remember) were sublime! Hot stones with thorough massage and some acupressure thrown in for good measure. She got rid of a knot in my shoulder I've had for over a year. So the treatment and the masseuse 10/10 HOWEVER I would not go back there because if the woman at front of house/reception. First off to be told they were running 15 minutes behind. That turned into half an hour. Then after my treatment being forcefully ushered to a sofa to complete a questionnaire. But the last straw was when I tried to go (I had said to her I had 2 hours parking. 1hr treatment + half hour delay + getting undressed /redressed, get my point) she then spent 5 more minutes explaining ALL the separate offers to me in the most aggressive hard sell I've ever encounter ANYWHERE never mind at a spa! 'If you pay £45 now you can get one treatment free. Do you want to do that now?' For the price I got the massage for it was worth it, and if the masseuse ever starts up her own place I would 100% go to her a and pay the full price asked, but I will not be returning to this spa simply because of the agro created when trying to leave!
