    3. I tried a CACI facial and it was not at all what I expected

I tried a CACI facial and it was not at all what I expected

Published on 8 January 2019 - Last updated on 19 December 2025 by Beth Ryan

I’m going to call it and say I’ve tried pretty much every facial treatment going. Largely because I’m curious, but also, it’s good to be able to offer advice to friends on what to try based on their skin concerns (once ‘less rosé’ has been ruled out). This time, we’re talking CACI facials – the treatment that uses microcurrents to stimulate facial muscles. The goal? Lift and tone my face for firmer-looking skin.

    By Liz Hambleton

    • 1 It's a modern process

Turns out, CACI facials use some serious tech (I’d envisioned old-school equipment, for some reason). CACI synergy (the latest version) stimulated my facial muscles with metal prongs to deliver micro-currents beneath the skin. As it hit my skin I felt a twitching, tingling sensation, that was a little itchy after.

    • 2 Not just to lift and tone

At the same time as giving my muscles a workout, my therapist used the machine to exfoliate my skin with ‘orbital microdermabrasion’. I also got a dose of LED to brighten and boost my skin tone too (always welcome). It’s a lot going on in one facial, but can't complain about that bonus boost of glow.

    • 3 But, I saw a definite lift

My jawline looked properly lifted, as did my brows. I left feeling like I’d got something out of the facial (which is ideal). CACI is a course-focused facial, and sadly, I’m not someone who can ever commit to a course time-wise (I'm more into intensive one-off treatments). If you can find the time, the results would be significant and long-lasting.

    • 4 Where to try it?

My top spots for a CACI facial in London would be Seduire London Beauty Clinic and Cristina Coelho Bespoke Facials. Enjoy.

    FAQs

What is a CACI facial and how does it work?

A CACI facial uses microcurrents delivered through metal prongs to stimulate your facial muscles. This technique aims to lift and tone the face, providing firmer-looking skin and a boosted glow. You may also experience exfoliation with orbital microdermabrasion and a dose of LED to brighten your complexion.

What can you expect to feel during a CACI facial?

During a CACI facial, you may feel a twitching and tingling sensation on your skin, which can be a bit itchy afterwards. The treatment is designed to stimulate facial muscles while exfoliating and brightening the skin. Many people notice a definite lift to areas like the jawline and brows after the treatment.

How often should you get a CACI facial for the best results?

A CACI facial is best experienced as a course-focused treatment for significant and long-lasting results. While one-off treatments can provide an immediate lift, committing to a series of sessions offers stronger and more lasting benefits. If you can’t commit to regular appointments, you can still enjoy an intensive boost from occasional sessions.

Which salons in London offer CACI facials?

Top spots to try a CACI facial in London include Seduire London Beauty Clinic and Cristina Coelho Bespoke Facials. You can easily book appointments online at these locations through Treatwell, making the process simple and convenient for customers.

What extra treatments can you get during a CACI facial?

Alongside microcurrent stimulation, CACI facials often include orbital microdermabrasion for exfoliation and LED treatment to brighten your skin tone. This combination provides a comprehensive skincare boost in a single session, helping your skin look both lifted and radiant.
