“Know a barber round here?” Yes, yes we do.

27 April 2018 by Beth Ryan

Choosing a barber is no mean feat. It takes a whole lot of trust to invite a razor near your head, but with a skilled barber, your hair’s in good hands. Not to toot our own horn, but with a lot of Treatwell salons across the country, you’re never far from somewhere that’ll give you a quick cut or some proper TLC – and in the spirit of openness, we asked some of the guys from our office for their insider tips. So here are our six best London-based salons according to the chaps at Treatwell.

  • 1 The Ottoman Crew

“The guys at The Ottoman Crew are the absolute experts in giving you therapy alongside a haircut and a beard trim.  You get a beer, a shoulder and neck massage, a facial and full face massage.”

Antony Lea, CRM and Partner Marketing Director

“They are the best with the razors by far. Great service and finish, they take the time they need and always serve nice Turkish tea.”

Albert Abello, Group Head of Paid Social & Display

  • 2 Salon House

"It's in a convenient location, and has a great atmosphere, but the best thing about Salon House is the staff. The stylist, Marta, really listened to what I wanted as well as offering advice (her point of view really helped). She continued to check that I was happy throughout the hair cut, and I'm always happy with the results. Always a great experience!"

    Jeroen Sitskoorn, Organic Growth Director

  • 3 A & P

"A&P Hair Studio is a really cool studio with a calm vibe in Knightsbridge. The stylists are real experts, and know exactly what they’re doing. They knew just how to cut and style my curled hair, without instruction."

    Lorenzo Marasca, Senior Marketing Analyst

  • 4 The Noble Gentleman

"The Noble Gentleman always provides great service, and the prices are really good for such a high level of expertise. Try the 'full service' at least once – everyone should get to experience it. Make sure to book, it's a busy place!"

    Giuseppe Torre, Photography Editor

  • 5 Transition Salon

"I needed a new look, and picked Transition Salon based off a recommendation. The stylist was really helpful, and offered advice to help me find a style I liked. I’ve been going back since. It’s a relaxing salon, with a calm vibe – I’d definitely recommend."

    Oliver Bray, QA Analyst

  • 6 Eric's Hair Studio

"Eric’s Hair Studio really focuses on experience. I don't enjoy getting my hair cut (it’s just something I need to do, like paying bills and other mundane life tasks), but I do here. I like Eric's efficiency, price and location. He remembers how I like my hair styled and is always consistent."

    James Williams, Account Manager
