It’s Black Friday week. By now you’ve seen a list of tremendous deals circulated around your office, and have updated your Christmas list accordingly to make sure your lover (/mum) gets you the good stuff at half the price. Allow us to swoop in with more temptation, because we’ve got deals incoming, and decision making is tough. If you’re wondering what to book when the discounts roll in, this should help – our six most booked treatments right now. AKA, what everyone else is choosing. Happy scrolling.

1 Haircut
The trusty treatment – the haircut. From making finer hair look fuller, to experimenting with that chop Dua Lipa pulls off so effortlessly, heading for a haircut pays off aesthetically and feels pretty great. Plus, we all need regular trims – even if you’re growing it out. Head massage, fancy shampoo, frothy coffee. All the good stuff. No wonder it’s consistently our most-booked treatment.

2 Hollywood wax
The all-off. No hair remaining. More streamlined for hitting the shops, if you will. It’s our most-booked waxing treatment, closely followed by the Brazilian, and a leg wax. Remember before heading to the salon to avoid coffee and alcohol (shucks), and wear loose trousers to prevent irritation post-wax. Heck, why not buy some fresh pants? It’s probably 50% off somewhere.

3 Two-week mani
The two-week mani (that usually lasts for three), is created with gel, or shellac polish and cured under a UV lamp. This leaves an extra glossy finish, and nails so tough, you can carry 10 Zara bags at once without your polish suffering. It’s a miracle. I’ve also done the maths (somehow). Book this Friday, and your nails will last ‘til mid December. Get another mani then, and you’ll have festive fingertips right through to 2019.

4 Pedicure
Just because your Birkenstocks are packed away come winter time, doesn’t mean your feet won’t feel the benefit of an intensive pedi. The foot massage bit (AKA the best bit), will work wonders on post-shopping feet. And though you may be sans flip flops in December, sandals are a sort of go-to at festive parties. So, a glossy slick of polish won’t go amiss. Summer feet were made in winter, yep, that’s the phrase.

5 Eyelash extensions
Less time applying mascara = more time for scrolling discounts online (definitely not at your work desk…). Eyelash extensions are forever popular around holiday season, lasting three-six weeks with the correct care, and varying in volume to suit your chosen 'vibe'. From ‘Russian volume’ to ‘classic lashes’, do your research, and choose wisely.

6 Blow dry
Sometimes nothing beats a really great boost of bounce. Save yourself the arm ache and head to a hair stylist for that volume (because no one can do it like they can). A blow dry can last up to four days if you look after it – think sleeping in a silk scarf, and avoiding getting your hair wet – so it’s a good one to try pre-Christmas party. Or during your break from deal-searching.
With Treatwell, you can book beauty online at all your favourite salons – simple, hassle-free, and you can do it on the go. Discover amazing salons in your area.
FAQs
How long do eyelash extensions last with proper care?
Eyelash extensions can last between three to six weeks if cared for properly. Longevity depends on the chosen volume style and how well you maintain them, making them a popular option for the holiday season.
What should you avoid before going for a Hollywood wax?
You should avoid coffee and alcohol before your Hollywood wax appointment. Wearing loose trousers is also advised to help prevent irritation after the treatment, helping ensure a more comfortable experience.
How long does a two-week mani usually last?
A two-week mani often lasts up to three weeks when created with gel or shellac polish and cured under a UV lamp. This gives you tough, glossy nails perfect for carrying multiple shopping bags, and can keep your nails looking festive throughout the holidays with timely rebooking.
How can you make your blow dry last longer?
To make your blow dry last up to four days, sleep in a silk scarf and avoid getting your hair wet. Proper aftercare helps you enjoy bouncy, styled hair longer, making it ideal before a party or a busy week.
Do you still benefit from a pedicure in winter?
Yes, your feet benefit from an intensive pedicure even in winter. An invigorating foot massage soothes tired feet after shopping, and a glossy polish complements sandals worn at festive parties, keeping your feet in great condition year-round.
