Super simple ways to make your beauty treatments last

Published on 23 November 2017 - Last updated on 19 December 2025 by Beth Ryan

With your beauty treatments all done, there are nifty ways to make them last longer. With very little effort you can remain coiffed, relaxed or refreshed for longer. You might think reviewing is a drag, but it’s a great way of getting more of what you love and less of what you don’t, next time.

    • 1 Say when you’re happy

A long-term tactic for permanently good beauty treatments is…being nice! If you loved your treatment, share the love by leaving a glowing review for your therapist. A post on social media is also really appreciated by most salons. It lets them know what to keep doing.

    • 2 Maximise the effects

Making the most of your treatment is everything. If you’ve been to the spa or had a massage, factor in time to leave any oils used on your skin for as long as possible to maximise the effects. If you’re post blow dry, try pinning your hair up when you sleep to keep the smooth, glossy look for as many days as you can.

    FAQs

How can you make your beauty treatment results last longer?

You can make the effects of your treatment last longer with a few simple actions. For example, leave any oils from a massage or spa on your skin as long as possible. For hair treatments like a blow dry, pin your hair up while sleeping to keep a smooth, glossy look for more days.

What should you do after a massage or spa treatment?

After a massage or spa session, let any oils used on your skin remain for as long as you can. This helps maximise the positive effects and leaves you feeling refreshed for longer. Avoid washing them off immediately to get the best results.

How can you help your favourite therapist or salon?

Share your positive experience by leaving a glowing review or posting about it on social media. This lets your therapist or salon know what you loved and encourages them to keep up the great work. Being appreciative can make a real difference for your future visits.

What is a good way to keep your blow dry looking fresh overnight?

Pin your hair up as you sleep to help maintain its smooth, glossy finish. This small step can help your blow dry last for several days, keeping you looking salon-fresh with minimal effort.
