What Can Reflexology Do?
Reflexology is an irresistibly relaxing holistic therapy promoting the body to heal itself in all areas so in theory it can help with almost all conditions and problems that exist. Here are some generic conditions and problems that reflexology has had success treating:
How Often Should I Have Treatments?
Reflexology is such a lovely indulgent treatment that you can have treatments as often as you wish for pure relaxation.
If you are using Reflexology for a specific health issue it is recommended that you complete a course of treatments over 6-10 sessions starting weekly for 4 weeks, followed by fortnightly for 2-6 sessions and then it is recommended to keep up the treatments monthly or 6 weekly as a maintenance programme.
How Much Are The Sessions?
£18 per Reflexology Session or £45 for a block of 3 sessions when booked together
£30 Ultimate Health Package – Includes a Full Body Hot Stone Massage plus Reflexology
£29 Top to Toe Relaxation – Includes Reflexology Session and Indian Head Massage
What happens during a session?
When you arrive for your appointment we will begin by discussing the background of reflexology, how it works, why it works and how it can be of benefit to yourself. We will discuss your lifestyle and dietary habits. An initial session will last approximately 60 minutes.
Following the consultation you will prepare yourself by taking off your shoes and socks and getting yourself comfortable on the luxurious heated reflexology couch ready for the treatment to begin.
The reflexology treatment will begin with a foot massage on each foot to boost circulation and warm up the reflex points. This will be followed by a deeper massage of each reflex point on each foot. Stimulating each of the reflex points will help to clear any blockages that are present in each reflex point that links to each and every organ and gland in the entire body. By clearing these blockages in the body it will mean that the organ or gland that the reflex point links to will receive more oxygen and nutrients from the blood flow than it had been receiving previously. This will then allow the body to self-heal and resolve any problems that that specific organ or gland had been experiencing.
If you have never had reflexology before you may need a shorter treatment time to ensure the body systems are not overstimulated.
During the session you may feel different sensations in your feet such as a crunching or popping feeling when a blockage is found.
Some people also experience a sharp pain or a feeling of sensitivity in certain places that are blocked but this is quite rare. Overall the session will have a profound calming and comforting effect on your whole body.
It will not tickle as it is a firm pressure.
